This year marks my sixth time taking on one of the most meaningful challenges of my life: a 100-mile overnight relay from Key Largo to Key West, alongside an incredible team that has become family. I’ll be running 20-25 miles through the night, over scary bridges, and alongside traffic which is no easy task—but every mile is driven by purpose, remembrance, and hope.

I do this in honor of my late husband, Federico, whose courageous fight against colon cancer continues to inspire me. I run for my friends Rendel and Casey, who overcame their cancer but still continue to get treatments to keep it away. And I run for the children fighting pediatric cancer.
