In September 2012 our world fell apart when Beth was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer at age 64.  Beth was one of the 15% of victims who had never smoked in her life. We were hopeful when we learned that Beth was eligible to use a new form of targeted therapy but our hopes were dashed when Beth did not respond to the medication. Beth passed away after valiantly fighting for one year. I cannot tell you how much our family misses Beth. By being a part of Lung Cancer Connection I have been able to memorialize Beth by raising awareness and raising money to fight this terrifying disease.
