Hi! My name is Blanca Villareal, and I’m the Education Program Manager at Inclusion Matters by Shane’s Inspiration. I have the incredible privilege of leading our ability awareness and inclusion programs that bring students of all abilities together to learn, play, and connect in meaningful ways. I’m participating in this 5K to raise funds for our inclusive education and playground programs — because every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and included. Whether it's creating adaptive recess experiences, leading school workshops, or pairing students for unforgettable field trips, I see firsthand how inclusion changes lives. Inclusive Schools Week 2025

Inclusive Schools Week is a weeklong celebration led by Inclusion Matters by Shane’s Inspiration that promotes empathy, kindness, and connection through inclusive recess activities, peer buddy programs, and ability awareness workshops. While the celebration happens over one week, the impact lasts all year — empowering students of all abilities to build friendships, embrace differences, and create a culture of belonging on their campus.

Together We Are Able Education Program

Together We Are Able (TWAA) is a three-part education program from Inclusion Matters by Shane’s Inspiration that teaches students about inclusion, empathy, and the power of connection. Through a classroom presentation, an inclusive field trip, and a post-discussion, students of all abilities come together to learn, play, and build meaningful friendships. TWAA creates lasting change by helping students see disability through a lens of respect, curiosity, and shared experience — laying the foundation for a more inclusive school community.

Inclusive STEPS- Early Childhood Inclusion Initiative

Inclusive STEPS is an early education initiative by Inclusion Matters by Shane’s Inspiration that brings inclusive play and social-emotional learning to preschool and TK classrooms. Designed for schools with students of all abilities, Inclusive STEPS introduces young learners to the values of kindness, empathy, and inclusion through hands-on activities, storytelling, and guided peer interactions. By starting early, we help children build the social skills and understanding they need to grow into compassionate, inclusive classmates — one small step at a time.
