S10
The second-generation S-10 was built by Chevrolet from 1994 through 2004 and was designed to compete with the Ford Ranger. With its robust body on frame design with rear leaf springs these trucks were designed to handle all the loads and abuse you could throw at it!
The LS Extended Cab version, offered here, has been meticulously maintained by the one and only owner who reported, as an example, that “this truck has never been in the rain!” All precautions have been taken to retain the continuity of that statement to the extent that it has only been stored indoors during our stewardship.
The truck is equipped with a 2.2L 4 cylinder engine and 2 wheel drive manual 5 speed transmission. It still has the performance feel of a new truck with smooth idle, generous acceleration and a literally “untested” hauling capacity. The optional alloy wheels are wrapped with tires, which have been replaced, and have plenty of tread remaining.
The interior is fitted with comfortable dark gray velour front seats, a large center armrest that flips up between the seat backs, and a rear “jump seat” accessed through the driver’s side rear door. These also show no significant wear as just another example of the gentle use, care and maintenance of this vehicle by its owner. The OEM Delco AM/FM CD player has nice sound quality and is equipped with the recently developed “THEFTLOCK” protection. The HVAC climate control is excellent.
The well-protected bed has a black, locking, folding tonneau cover and a bed liner. The paint still looks factory fresh as one would expect at 20k miles!
