Frequently Asked Questions

What is a virtual challenge? It’s charity-focused peer-to-peer event that is connected virtually! Complete the daily challenges in the comfort of your own home or neighborhood. Post and brag about doing the daily challenge with a link to your fundraising page. Ask your friends and family to help you meet your fundraising goal for each of the 14 days.

What types of challenges will we be given? Challenges will range from mindful to physical, to creative - with options to modify based on your age and mobility. Challenges can be done individually or with your family or a team. Each challenge will be come through with a statistic about domestic violence.

Challenge example: Do 20 push-ups for the 20 survivors who are harmed nationally per minute. Mindful option: meditate for 20 minutes (we will send a guiided meditiation). Statistic: “On average, nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States. During one year, this equates to more than 10 million women and men.”

How much of the money will go to UCDVS? BHcare is a 501(c)3 organization, making all donations received tax-deductible. All funds raised from this event are designated to UCDVS. We work very hard to keep production expenses as low as possible by soliciting sponsorships, donations and discounts for supplies. We’re grateful to our sponsors who have helped offset these costs so that every dollar you raise goes directly to domestic violence programing and resources.

What is the fundraising requirement? There is no requirement, however, we do encourage every participant to commit to raising at least $100. This is in addition to any registration fees.

Do you offer refunds? We are sorry but we do not offer refunds. If you are unable to participate, we’re happy to convert your registration to a donation.

When can I register to participate? Registration is open from today until March 27th.

When will Strength-4-Survivors take place? We kick off the daily challenges on Saturday, March 13th. Each morning, you will be sent a task that will empower you! It may be push-ups, or a challenge to meditate, or even a creative art project. Do it solo or with your fam. When you're done, post a pic to your social media with the link to you fundraising page.

Who can I contact for more information? Reach out to our team at development@bhcare.org. We’re happy to help!
