Join us for our Safe Walk on Sunday, October 4th, 2026
at Arnold Holm Jr. Memorial Park/Duck Pond! 


Same day registration and craft fair begins @ 8:00am, walk begins @ 9:00am. Our Safe Walk will feature a craft fair with local vendors, exciting raffle baskets for all ages, and breakfast food trucks. Join together with your family and friends to walk with us in honor of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Children & Students: Free*
*Children and students under 18 are welcome to attend without registering online

Safe Futures Safe Walk 2026

Sunday, October 4th at Waterford Duck Pond

General Information:

Parking: Parking for all attendees will be available nearby at the Waterford Community Center, Town Hall, High School and Civic Triangle Park. There will be no parking will be available at the Waterford Public Library, as it will be used as a drop-off for the craft fair vendors and volunteers only.

Check-In: Registration and check-in tables will be located directly across from the Community Center at Rope Ferry Road, at the end of the walkway leading down from Civic Triangle Park, and in the library parking lot. Waterford Police will be on site to help pedestrians cross safely. The starting line for the Walk will be recognizable by the purple balloon arch at the library. 

Dog Policy: We love pets but only service dogs and police dogs are allowed at the Safe Walk.

Raffle Tickets: Cash or credit cards are accepted for purchase of raffle tickets! Winners will be announced by the end of the Safe Walk and will be contacted the following week if their raffle basket was not claimed.

Proceeds from the Safe Walk support our free and confidential services for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, trafficking, elder abuse, and child abuse in Southeastern Connecticut.
