Hello! My name is Dylan Ortega, and I am a senior at Salesianum. To begin, Salsthon is an annual tradition held by Salesianum and its sister schools, in which they fundraise towards the benefit of the local community. This year's Salsthon beneficiary is the Saint Patrick's Center of Wilmington. Since 1971, the Saint Patrick's Center has provided emergency food, meals, respite for the homeless, clothing, transportation, and recreational activities for people in need on Wilmington’s east side. Their services are provided in a welcoming, dignified, respectful, and caring environment, and they believe that people require more than just basic needs. For this organization, a person’s desire to be respected and accepted is not diminished because they are poor, and that desire does not fade as they become elderly.

My fundraising goal is to raise at least $250 towards this organization's cause. According to them, $250 will be enough to feed a family of 4 for 1 month. Each dollar is incredibly valuable and provides great help to the people in Wilmington who are in need, so any donation and donations beyond this baseline goal is appreciated.
