Hello, my name is Benjamin Garrett, and I am currently a senior in high school enrolled at Salesianum School in Wilmington, Delaware. Every year for the past eleven years, Salesianum, along with its sister schools Ursuline and Padua, has held an all-night danceathon known as SALSTHON. However, to be able to attend SALSTHON, students of the three schools are required to raise money for a charity that is chosen each year. This year, the beneficiary of the fundraising is the St. Patrick's Center of Wilmington. St. Patrick's Center is a charity organization that serves people in the east side of Wilmington that struggle with poverty, homelessness, food insecurity, unemployment, and more. They serve thousands and thousands of people each year, and through their current business model, the $250 I am hoping to raise this year will feed a family of four for up to a month.
