We're truly grateful for your visit to our team page! This is our first year participating in a Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) walk. This event is an opportunity to connect across the amazing CHD community and give just a tiny bit back to an important community that we are part of.  Along with other CHD families, many of the nurses we've met along our journey will also be participating.

While Maddie may not fully understand the reason for this walk, our hope is the event provides her with a chance to meet other kids who have gone through similar experiences (and for us, to meet other parents going through our own experiences!). This is a special occasion to help her understand she is not alone in her journey.

A note on the team name - if you know Maddie, she is truly magical.  She has the best laugh and brings such a bright light to this world.  We feel so blessed to experience Maddie magic everyday!

Every 15 minutes in the United States, a baby is born with a congenital heart defect, making CHDs the most common birth defect in our country. The Congenital Heart Walk is dedicated to making a difference. Our mission is clear - we aim to raise funds to support The Children's Heart Foundation in its quest to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of CHDs by funding groundbreaking research.

We invite you to join us in this mission. By supporting our team or even walking with us, you're contributing to research that can save and enhance the lives of infants born with CHDs, as well as children and adults living with these conditions.
