We are pleased to announce that our annual fundraiser, Stand Tall with Sarah’s Inn, will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at the Oak Park Country Club! Stand Tall is a wonderful opportunity to showcase our important programming, raise much-needed revenue, and cultivate important relationships in our community. In addition to the in-person attendance of over 300 people, Stand Tall will also maintain a virtual auction so that our supporters near and far can be engaged for a memorable evening, offering great visibility and recognition for our valued sponsors.
Sarah’s Inn is a community-based organization with programs and services that work to address the issue of domestic violence holistically. Our programs include: Intervention services for families affected by domestic violence that includes Advocacy and Counseling; Prevention education for youth to give them the tools to develop healthy relationships; and Training and Education for professionals and community-based organizations to create a network of skilled ambassadors. Intervention services are confidential, bilingual (English/Spanish), and offered free of charge to survivors and their children. Last year alone, thanks in big part to revenue raised at Stand Tall events we have been able to
- Answer over 3,100 calls on our 24-hour crisis line
- Offer lifesaving services to over 1,200 survivors of domestic violence
- Provide free counseling to more than 140 children and teens affected by violence
- Support 1,200 survivors of domestic violence with legal advocacy services by Sarah's Inn advocates at two Cook County courthouses
- Engage more than 17,660 individuals through effective Domestic Violence training and education
- Reach over 10,370 local youth through our innovative prevention program, the Together Strong Project
