Being a Galaxy Girl
It wasn't always easy... but thats kind of the point. As a Galaxy Girl, I learned what it meant to really push yourself. To be totally exhausted, and keep pushing. To be totally broken down, but keep trying. I found on my team some of the strongest and most influential women in my life. I learned the power of confidence.
The Galaxy Girls mean the world to me. Without this team, I wouldn't be who I am today.
This will be my last year on the team. All of the hard word that I have put in over my 6 years of derby, and 3 years as a Galaxy Girl will be tested in july at champs, where we hope to reclaim the #1 spot that we held for three consecutive years.
Because we compete with teams from far and wide, however, we must travel for our tournaments. This year, championships is in Loveland, Colorado, and we additionally have a tournament in Los Angeles, California, as well as one in Eugene, Oregon. In order to pay for these trips, we need to raise a great deal of money to help pay for lodging, food, and airfare. Any contribition you can make would help greatly, big or small... every protein bar and gatorade counts :)
