Livestream Benefit on Sunday, 19th October

Join us online for our 12th Annual Sattwadharman Benefit Livestream with Himalayan monk, His Holiness Swami Vidyadhishananda. This annual benefit weaves together the timeless beauty of exquisite art and culture, and the heart-opening blessings of receiving wisdom directly from His Holiness. Of special note, this livestream also coincides with the celebration of Dipavali - the Festival of Lights.

Broadcast from our Monastery in Penn Valley, the livestream will highlight the power of whole-person learning and value-based education and share updates on the Monastery’s development as a sanctuary for cultural transmission.

His Holiness will speak on how this integrated vision of our Nonprofit can safeguard indigenous knowledge and transfer precious self-empowerment techniques across the world from the root wisdom of the Sanskrit wisdom.

With your support, we can protect ancient traditions, nurture the next generation of students in traditional Vedic Sanskrit schools, foster authentic Himalayan yoga and meditation teachings, and further develop our Monastery in California as a centre for cultural transmission and contemplative practice.

Your participation in this benefit and online art auction directly contributes to sustaining this living heritage and sharing the light of wisdom with seekers and devotees worldwide.

Indigenous Curriculum

Our international sangha is deeply engaged through this annual Sattwadharman Benefit in preserving and transmitting the legacy of ancient Sanskrit-based indigenous heritage. This work bridges our Indic monastic institutions (Maṭha) with our operations in the USA, ensuring this wisdom is safeguarded and shared globally.

This global cultural transmission is jointly facilitated primarily by two charitable institutions, Hansavedas (Self Enquiry Life fellowship) in the USA and Vedanidhi (Vedic Heritage Research Foundation) in India, both led by His Holiness Swami Vidyadhishananda.

Self Enquiry Life Fellowship is a top-rated Nonprofit that has maintained the Guidestar Platinum Seal of Transparency since 2019. You can view our Nonprofit profile here.

About His Holiness Swami Vidyadhishananda

His Holiness Swami Vidyadhishananda is a realized Himalayan siddha monk, who hails from unbroken lineages of the combined heritage of rishi sages and nath meditation adepts. He reveals to us a Himalayan tradition of Vedic wisdom based on the oral history passed down through his monastic lineages.

He is among the very few adepts available in the West who was awarded the degree of DLitt et Phil (Mahāmahopādhyāya) by the erstwhile President of the Association of Indian Universities and by the Sanskrit scholars of Calcutta, India. The degree was conferred in recognition of his meditative interpretation, scholarly analysis, and ability to articulate the philosophical nuances of Sanskrit literature.

His sublime recitation of Sanskrit peace chants opened the 54th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations in 1999. He has lectured around the world as an emissary of peace, bridging spiritual traditions and sharing the universal teachings of Vedic wisdom.

As the head of the Hansavedas Mission and the founding monk of the United States Nonprofit, Self Enquiry Life Fellowship, he is a guiding light to aspirants and devotees alike. Seekers from diverse religious backgrounds as well as intellectuals throng to be in his divine presence and listen to his presentation of Sanskrit knowledge from a universal perspective. Such a unique combination of a mystic, yogi, and scholar is rarely seen in a saintly teacher.
