Bailey's Fundraising Page
Hi there!
I'm Bailey, and my journey with Animal Friends Alliance has been nothing short of an amazingly heartwarming experience. Over the past two years, I've witnessed the incredible impact our organization has on the lives of animals and their human companions.
I started with Animal Friends Alliance in our bustling spay/neuter clinic, where I saw firsthand the importance of responsible pet care and education for our community. In March of this year, I took on a new role on our philanthropy team as our Giving Program Administrator. It's been a rewarding experience to work behind the scenes, connecting people like you with our mission to save and improve the lives of cats and dogs in our area and beyond.
During my time here, I've not only been a part of our team, but also a foster parent to nine unforgettable animals. Among them were two feral kittens who needed extra love and patience to socialize, and a special dog with unique medical needs who stayed with us for more than 70 days. I'm proud to say that all of them have now found loving homes, showcasing the direct impact we have on transforming the lives of these animals and the people who adopt them.
Your unwavering support and generous contributions have already made a significant impact on our organization. In 2022, our efforts helped 3,525 cats and dogs find their forever homes, enabled us to perform 7,923 spay/neuter surgeries, including 730 through our PAL+ program for families in need, and provided over 47,000 pounds of pet food to families facing challenges.
So, as we embrace the 80's theme of "Don't Stop Believing," I invite you to join me in our mission. Together, we can achieve our goal of raising $160,000 to support animals in need. Your belief in our cause will make all the difference. Together, we're writing stories of hope and compassion, one animal at a time.
Thank you for being a part of our Animal Friends Alliance family!
A few of my fosters and other animals whose lives we have impacted!
Aang
Introducing Aang (now Aengus), a five-year-old husky mix whose journey from Texas to the Alliance embodies the spirit of resilience and the gift of second chances. After heartworm treatment and a dental procedure, X-rays revealed a fungal infection known as coccidiomycosis, or Valley Fever. This diagnosis meant extensive and expensive treatment, and the potential for reoccurrence. Many shelters would have resorted to euthanasia for such a costly and time consuming disease, but the Alliance knew Aang deserved a chance at finding a home to call his own. After 74 days in my home, a remarkable family stepped forward- not only embracing Aang's medical needs but also showering him with love and care. Today, Aang is living the life he always deserved, a life filled with affection, joy, and the warmth of a true home. He recently received his B.A.R.K Ranger certificate at Lory State Park, and his story stands as testament to the power of compassion and the belief that every animal deserves a second chance at a loving and fulfilling life. Without your support, we would not be able to provide animals like Aang with the opportunities they so rightfully deserve. Your donation ensures that we can continue to change lives, one rescued animal at a time.

After an energetic playtime, she adores curling up for a cozy snuggle session. Your invaluable support empowers us to extend a lifeline to remarkable animals like Phyre, granting them the second chances they truly deserve. Dory (Before)
Meet my foster kitten Dory, a once-grumpy and uncertain soul, now thriving in a loving home of her own. Through our community cat program, we helped transform her life, just as we did for over 600 cats through trap-neuter-release efforts in northern Colorado and southern Wyoming last year. We also welcomed 276 kittens and 62 friendly adults into our shelter, all on their way to finding loving homes. We couldn't do it without the help of donors like you – your support fuels our mission of compassion and care, one cat at a time.

Clinic Client
If you know me, you know I have a soft spot for shepherd mixes! This adorable shepherd mix pup paid a visit to our low-cost clinic for vaccines, and those nervous puppy eyes stole all of our hearts. With the dedication and compassion of our incredible clinic staff, we provide top-notch care to over 70 animals and their loving owners in a single day. We're proud to be here for you and your four(or three)-legged family members!
Bagheera (Before)
Bagheera, formerly known as River Park #25, was trapped by our amazing community cat program at a local mobile home in order to be neutered, vaccinated, and released back to his home. When it was determined he might be friendly enough to be socialized despite being a bit older than the ideal age, I knew I had to foster him! After a few weeks of learning how to be brave and that humans are awesome, Bagheera (now affectionately nicknamed Bags) went to an amazing home where he no longer has to face the hardships of life outside. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors, we're able to rescue cats like Bags, who may not have had the chance to find a loving home without our help.

Feral Tomcat
This big handsome guy is one of the many feral tomcats our community cat program has TNR'd (Trap-Neuter-Returned). Did you know that an unfixed cat can have up to 3 litters a year, with each litter averaging 4-6 kittens? That's a staggering number of kittens born into uncertainty. This program, made possible by the incredible support of our donors, is transforming the lives of cats and our community, one spay/neuter at a time.
Foster Kitten
This adorable foster kitten was visiting our clinic for surgery to prepare for a loving home to call his own. At our organization, we believe in providing the best support for every animal who enters our care. That's why we ensure that all our animals available for adoption are not only fixed but also microchipped, dewormed, and up-to-date on all their age-appropriate vaccines. By supporting our cause, our donors make it possible for us to give animals in need the best chance at a happy and healthy life with their future families.
Fosters Pancake & Pygmy
Meet these adorable foster Chihuahua puppies, Pancake and Pygmy! Pancake's journey was a bit unique – he was adopted and later returned for no fault of his own. At Animal Friends Alliance, our commitment extends beyond adoption; we are an adoption guarantee shelter, dedicated to ensuring every animal has a loving home for their lifetime. We readily accept back any adopted animal, regardless of the reason, as we believe in unwavering care and dedication, without any time constraints. Pancake taught us that everything happens for a reason, as he recently found a new loving home where he's truly meant to be. Your support fuels our mission, allowing us to provide animals like Pancake and Pygmy with the care and opportunities they truly deserve.
Charmaine
Meet Charmaine, our resilient 8-year-old Spaniel mix who faced heartworm with unwavering courage. At Animal Friends Alliance, we embark on missions that others may shy away from. Our commitment to saving animals knows no bounds, and this includes knowingly accepting heartworm-positive dogs and providing them with treatment prior to adoption. These treatments, resource and time-intensive, span two or more months, presenting a substantial commitment for the shelter providing care. This sweet older lady spent over 3 months in foster care with limited interest, but then the perfect person arrived to offer her the loving life and home of her own she truly deserves .This heartwarming success story wouldn't have been possible without the generous support of donors like you. Your contributions made her life-saving treatment and journey to her home a reality. Thank you for being a part of her second chance and helping us make miracles happen!
