Animal Friends Alliance is the result of a 2020 merger of two respected Fort Collins Animal welfare organizations founded in 2006 -  Fort Collins Cat Rescue & Spay/Neuter Clinic and Animal House Rescue and Grooming.
 

The organization's impact has continued to grow, including completion of an expanded facility in 2022.  Animal Friends Alliance not only adopts out cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies into loving homes, but the organization also helps pet owners keep their pets at home by offering low cost spay and neuter surgeries and a kibble pet food pantry for owners who're having challenges with resources.  
The Alliance also operates a community cat program that traps, spays and neuters, then returns cats... dramatically reducing the number of homeless cats.
