I'm Rachel, the Fundraising and Events Adminstrator, and I have been with the Alliance for one year now! I have absolutely LOVED my time with the Alliance, whether it's working an event or visiting with the dogs and cats in the shelter. A few of my favorite memories have been:
Doing the first rounds of judging animal pictures for the calendar with my coworkers.
Chatting with long-time supporters of the Alliance during our Holiday Party and carrying their donations out to my car in a dress and heels.
Working Kibble Distribution Days and seeing the impact that it has on our community members.
Watching as the Fix Fest shirts sold out because everyone loved the disco dancing dog and cat on the front.
Working the night of the Gala! While the lead up to the Gala was a lot of work, getting to see it all come together that night was well worth it!
Watching our staff try to stick card suits onto the super tall lamps at The Hilton before the Gala.
Working the UCHealth Employee Appreciation Event with the most adorable group of puppies ever! It felt great getting to bring smiles to the faces of healthcare workers who do so much for us every single day.
Going to the different breweries during BrewPawPaw and seeing a bunch of other players out and about.
Meeting Torchy and Phantome during the BrewPawPaw outreach event at SweetWater Brewing.
Meeting all my coworkers' fosters as they make their way on to loving homes (Goober, Seymore, Arlington/Kaden, Putekeke,
For the past year, I've gotten to wake up every day and work at my dream job helping animals in need. So during our Saving Pets Challenge, please help me celebrate my one year anniversary with the Alliance by donating to my page!
About Animal Friends Alliance:
Animal Friends Alliance was founded in 2006 as Fort Collins Cat Rescue & Spay/Neuter Clinic and Animal House Rescue and Grooming. In 2020, the two organizations merged to form Animal Friends Alliance - an adoption-guarantee shelter and subsidized spay & neuter clinic. Since 2006, we have adopted out over 41,000 dogs and cats to loving homes, spayed and neutered over 100,000 dogs and cats between our clinic and shelter, and helped over 5,400 community cats through our Community Cat Program and Adoptions Program.
