~~ Raising Money for Pets Challenge!! ~~
Welcome to my Saving Pets Challenge Page!
Reminisce on 18 amazing years of love at Animal Friends Alliance! Together, we can reach our goal of raising $175,000 for animals in need.
As the Community Pet Reesources Manager, I see animals and owners every day in need. Whether it's pet food, low cost spay/netuer, or trapping cats - our team is there to help!
It's out goal this year to help 800 animals with low cost spay/netuer, TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) over 600 cats, find loving homes for over 400 outdoor kittens/cats, and hand out over 60,000 pounds of free pet food to owners needing assistance feeding their pets.
It's our goal to help the animals AND people in our community, and we can only do that with the help of our amazing donors!!!!
$20 can help feed dog for the month, $35 can help spay/netuer an outdoor cat, $100 can help get an owner's dog spayed and vaccinated. YOUR contribution of ANY amount directly supports our programs to achieve our goals.
THANK YOU!

My Dog Hank - AFA Alum
This sweet handsome boy is Hank, and I adopted him from Animal Friends Alliance back in 2022. He's been my best bud since Day 1, and I'm SO thankful for his goofy, happy, and loving presence in my life.
Kittens Needing Help
A caretaker of a small colony reached out because they had found kittens! We help with trapping outdoor cats and getting them spayed/neutered and also help with getting kittens into our amazing Foster Program, This little one and its siblings were starting to not feel so well, so our amazing team jumped into action! Our AWESOME TNR volunteer went out to trap them, along with the mom cat. We were able to quickly do intake exams, get the kittens started on medications, and send them to a critical care foster. The mom was fixed and vaccinated and brought back to live a happy life outside. The kittens have been making a lot of improvements in foster and should be available for adoption soon :)
Kitten Season Started Strong!
I got a call from a concerned citizen who had a friendly outdoor cat give birth in her shed! Our team was able to jump into action super quick to provide this little family a comfortable spot in a foster home where the newborn kittens could be monitored. All (including mom) were happily adopted :)
Purrrrrty Kittens
A great bonus of helping our community cats is successfully getting them to sit long enough to get a good photo!
CPR Team Helps Dogs Too!
Our Community Pet Resources team is here to help pet owners and their pets. Putting animals first to receive the necessary medical treatment can sometimes be really hard. We're here to support owners during that time and make sure the animals staying in the home get spayed/neutered and receive supplemental pet food. The animals that come into our care get seen by our vet team, and go into foster homes if they are young. We helped this puppy, its littermates, and mom dog find amazing homes!
Love Helping Animals!
I first started my journey here at Animal Friends Alliance as the Volunteer Coordinator. I loved coming in every day to help the cats + dogs in our care have the best time with you. I also LOVED helping empower our volunteer to see the same. I was excited to move into the Community Pet Resources Manager role so that I could continue to make a positive impact on our community for their pets. As vet cost continues to grow, it becomes a larger barrier for pet owners to get the services they want done for their pets. Our CPR Programs like PAL+, Kibble, and Community Cats help owners + their animals feel healthier, more secure, and overall happier! I'm excited each day to help the animals AND their humans!
Our Newest Recruits for TNR!
Helping Across State Lines
With Fort Collins being so close to Wyoming, we are in the lucky position to utilize our resources to help those in Wyoming with their TNR needs. Last week we sent one of our AMAZING volunteers out to help trap this family so we could get them fixed + vaccinated so they would live healthier lives as outdoor cats. Our volunteer successfully got everyone and now we have been able to prevent more cats being born outside without homes. Assistance through our Community Cat Program is FREE. We don't want cost to stop people from getting the help. YOUR donation helps us maintain that so more cats can be helped.
Happy to Help
Our PAL+ Program helped this little one, along with mom + dad get fixed affordably. Our Kibble program is helping make sure they have supplemental food each month. Our Community Pet Resources and Foster teams facilitated this one’s sibling to come into our care because it had physical limitations and the owners could not provide it the veterinary care it needed. Together, our organization helped ALL of these lives and the owners. So that all of these pets could live happier + healthier.
