My Personal Fundraising Page
Hi, I'm Ezra! I am an Animal Care Technician and I have been with Animal Friends Alliance for almost 3 years! Everyday I provide care, enrichment and behavioral support for our cats and dogs onsite! I absolutely love my work and seeing these animals blossom with us is the biggest highlight of what I do! I also work in our ringworm ward, where we provide treatment and support for so many fungal friends - we are one of the only shelters in the area that actively pulls in ringworm positive cats to treat them! I have included some of my favorite animals from the past year below!
Welcome to my personal page for The Real Housepets of the Saving Pets Challenge—where every dollar brings the drama down and the love up!
I’m fundraising for Animal Friends Alliance, a nonprofit that’s been saving lives and spreading love since 2006. What started as two separate rescues—Fort Collins Cat Rescue & Spay/Neuter Clinic and Animal House Rescue and Grooming—became one fabulous force for good in 2020. Now they’re an adoption-guarantee shelter and affordable spay/neuter clinic helping animals in Northern Colorado and beyond.
Since their humble beginnings, Animal Friends Alliance has found loving homes for over 41,000 dogs and cats, spayed and neutered more than 100,000 pets (because we don’t do accidental litters OR unnecessary drama), and helped over 5,400 community cats live safely outdoors.
I’m helping them raise $200,000 during the Saving Pets Challenge, and I’d love your support. Whether it’s $5 or $500, your donation helps animals find homes, families, and second chances.
Join me in supporting this amazing cause—and let’s give these Real Housepets the spotlight they deserve.
Angelshark
Angelshark is a gorgeous girl that came to us with her sister! They arrived in November of 2024. She was a sassy little lady with some behavioral concerns, but I won her over quickly. I adore her do much and I recently got an amazing update from her family! She is absolutely thriving and they love her so much, her new name is now Short Cake!
Tucuxi
Tucuxi is my current foster baby! She is 7 years old with so much love to give. She came from Texas, and wormed her little way into my heart so fast - I knew I needed her in my home! She had a broken tooth that needed to be taken out, and our amazing medical team got her scheduled so fast! She's been healing with me ever since!
Mouse
Little Mousey was my first ever foster! She was in ringworm ward for a while, being treated by our absolutely amazing ringworm team, led by Ludi Fischer! She was battling a URI when she cleared, and was a bit shy in the shelter. I decided that my home could be a nice safe space for her to heal up in! She was a rowdy little baby but I adored her so much! She was adopted by a very loving family and has been doing amazing with them!
Serena
Serena was my second foster! She was a behavior case on arrival. She was really spicy, to the point of being staff only. We weren't expecting her intense level of sass - she came in with amazing notes from her previous family! I decided to bring her home to see if a safe, calm environment would help her flourish - and it did! She thrived in my care. Every day we had a 30 minute play session before I left for work, and 40+ minutes in the evening to get her wiggles out. She loved to snuggle up and she always went ham for her enrichment time! She left recently to a new foster, and has been doing great with them! She is a huge example of how shelter stress can greatly impact our animals, and how important foster homes are for their success!
Selma
If you know me personally, you've probably heard me talk about this extra special pup. Last September, a handful of staff including myself went on a Texas Transfer Trip where we got to meet our transfer partners and personally see the pet overpopulation crisis Texas is currently facing. It was a huge eye-opening trip. During our visit to Laredo Animal Services, I spotted a tiny pup absolutely covered in dense matted fur - and I asked for us to see her in a dog/dog meet. She did decently, and we knew we had to tag her! Once she arrived to us a few weeks later, we got her groomed and helped her build her confidence. She loved snuggles so much, and I spent a lot of extra time making sure she was comfortable and loved. I dream about this pup to this day. I absolutely wish I was in the position to adopt, however I was very lucky and was onsite the day she got adopted - her new family adores her and she has many laps to snuggle up in now! She is a great example of the work we do, directly saving lives and enriching our community with amazing companions!
