Hi, I'm Posey! I was at Animal Friends Alliance about a year ago and here is my story!

When I first arrived at Animal Friends Alliance last year, I had the vet team working around the clock to figure out my medical mysteries. I received lots of medications, fluids, special food, and even a couple procedures called "abdominal exploration surgery" and a "barium study"...I don't know what the heck any of that means, but they were pretty much trying to figure out if there was something wrong with my insides because I wouldn't stop throwing up. Like, a LOT of throwing up. I was so skinny, dehydrated, and exhausted.

I am so grateful for the vet team at Animal Friends Alliance who took such great care of me. I had like three whole vets focusing on me, and a whole crew of really nice vet assistants giving me medicine and checking on me. They figured out that my stomach was hurting because of the type of food I was eating, and now I don't throw up nearly as much!

Since I racked up such a bill while I was at the shelter, I'd like to pay it forward by raising some money during the Saving Pets Challenge! My mom works at the shelter and tells me all about the sick dogs that come through. Just like me, they need special diagnostics, medicine, and procedures while the vet team takes extra good care of them. I'm hoping to raise money to help the other dogs at Animal Friends Alliance that need help, just like I did!

My mom says that if you donate anything (even $1!!), she will make you a special craft. I will probably help lend a paw...or at least snooze at her side while she does all the work.
