Welcome to our fundraising page! Our dad (Matthew) is the Community Engagement Manager at Animal Friends Alliance, and we're here to help him reach his goal of raising $20,000 for Saving Pets Challenge! Last year, with my help (Frankie), our dad had a viral TikTok that helped him surpass his goal of raising $10,000. Thanks to your support, he was able to raise $18,029 to help the Alliance save even MORE animals. This year, our dad has an ambitious goal of raising $20,000 to make an even bigger impact on animals in need.

Let us tell you a little more about our dad, Matthew. He began his career in animal welfare in his hometown in Indiana. He was one of three employees at a very small, county-run animal shelter where his passion for rescue started. Along with caring for the animals, our dad started running their social media page to help animals find their loving humans. He decided to go back to school to learn even more about nonprofit communication, and the rest is history! Our dad started working at Animal Friends Alliance in 2022 and has made it his mission to help animals who need it most. But that's only possible with support from people like you.

Now you may wonder how your gift can make a difference, so let us share a story about a brave kitty, Scrimp, who received a second chance at a brighter future, all thanks to the life-saving work at the Alliance.

Scrimp's Happy Tail:

When Scrimp first came to stay with us, he didn't feel very well at all. His eye was hurting him so severely that he mostly curled up in one spot, and we could tell he wasn't sure what was going to happen next. However, the people at Animal Friends Alliance assured him that things would get better, and our dad brought him home to foster so he could rest and recover.

We watched as Scrimp went to the Alliance for a big procedure to remove his damaged eye. We were so proud of him! When he came back, something incredible started to happen. Little by little, he felt better. He started eating more, exploring our favorite sunny spots, and even playing with our toys (which we generously shared… mostly). We could see the sparkle coming back into him, even with just one eye.

Scrimp stayed with us for a while, and we helped show him that he was safe and loved. We think that helped him remember what it feels like to be a happy cat again. And then, the best day came. Scrimp met the purrrfect family. They didn't just see that he only had one eye. They saw what we saw: a sweet, silly, brave cat who was ready for every adventure.

Now Scrimp has his own big family, with dogs, chickens, cousins, and so many people who love him. He goes outside on a leash to feel the sun on his fur, and he's even getting ready to go camping. Can you imagine that? From a hurting little cat to a one‑eyed explorer with a whole world ahead of him.

We're so proud of our foster brother. Scrimp's journey is why Animal Friends Alliance means so much to us. They never gave up on him, and because of that, he gets to live the life every cat deserves. If you can, please help them save more pets like Scrimp. Every dollar makes a difference.
