Welcome to my personal page for The Real Housepets of the Saving Pets Challenge—where every dollar brings the drama down and the love up! 

I’m fundraising for Animal Friends Alliance, a nonprofit that’s been saving lives and spreading love since 2006!

I have been working at Animal Friends Alliance for 3 years now, and have worked my way up to be our Adoption Program Manager! I spend my days at work saving lives and managing our adoptions, but the work doesn't stop there. In addition to being an employee, I also spend SO much of my time to fostering animals for us! My go-to foster animal are puppies, but have also cared for some of our adult dogs as well.

I fell in love with rescuing animals after I rescued my first dog, named Sprout. I came from the East Coast, where everyone that I knew, had purebred animals. The concept of rescuing an animal was foreign to me. After my first year of college, in August of 2018, I was in an awful accident that left me in the hospital for nearly 2 months. In additon to my physical health plummeting, my mental health was at an all time low. 

In March of 2019, I was able to drive again. My first drive was to the Noco Humane Society. I remember leaving and my mom shouting out after me, "Whatever you do, don't call us!" What'd I do? I called them. I had found THE cutest little puppy, and I knew we were meant for each other. Fast forward to today - that special rescue pup who saved me, is now six years old, and is a huge part of saving the lives of all the little puppies that I foster. I always knew that I wanted a career where I could help people, and Animal Friends Alliance gave me exactly that.
