Hi, I'm Mozzie, the Real Housepet to Rachel Rasmussen!
While I wasn't adopted through Animal Friends Alliance, I was adopted in 2020 and want to help more of my fellow furry friends find their loving homes. Donating to my page means the Alliance is able to save even more lives and find more cats and dogs loving homes. About Me:
Almost exactly 5 year ago, my cat mom was brought in off the street, pregnant with me and my five siblings, to Elder Pet Care. That's where I met my mom and decided to choose her the best way I knew how - falling asleep on her feet.
Since then, I've grown into a certified cuddlebug with a big personality and an even bigger love for my mom (seriously, I need to see her at all times or the whole house will hear about it). I’m super friendly and get along with people, other cats, and even dogs. I love playing fetch, snoozing in closets or on the couch, and yelling at my mom to feed me when it's within an hour of my dinnertime (seriously, how hard can it be to feed me the second I want it?).
I also have pica which means besides my Greenies snacks, I really like eating plastic, string toys, plants, and drawstrings on pants or hackets. Luckily for my mom, it also means I will eat whatever food is put in front of me so she doesn't have to worry about switching it up all the time so...she's welcome.
I'm just a big guy (15 pounds to be exact) with an even bigger heart and I'm excited to help my mom fundraise for Animal Friends Alliance!

Hi all! I'm Rachel and besides being Mozzie's mom, I am the Fundraising and Events Administrator for the Alliance! I joined the org back in August 2023 as the Development Assistant and got promoted to Fundraising and Events shortly after.
I oversee and coordinate all our major fundraising events including the Gala for Animals, BrewPawPaw Bingo, Run Fur Fun 5k, February Fix Fest, and yes, the Saving Pets Challenge as well as a handful of smaller events and third party fundraisers. I absolutely love getting to see all the moving parts of an event come together, see everyone having a great time, and raise money for the animals!
Since this year's Saving Pets Challenge is all about the Real Housepets, if you donate any amount to my page, Mozzie will send you a personalized video message thanking you for your contribution (he doesn't know it yet but he will get lots of treats in exchange for his help).
