Hello! My name is Bailey and I have the privilege of living with Poe, the friendliest corgi you’ll ever meet! 

Poe came home with me in 2020, as I was living by myself, navigating a new job and the changing world through the pandemic. He immediately filled a corgi shaped space in my heart  (and also every surface of my home with fur from there on out.) 

What he lacks in stature he more than makes up for in personality. He is the boss of our home, a total primadonna, cuddlebug, and stickler for mealtimes. He has really thrived now that he has a stepbrother, Eiger, to compete with. They love to play fetch together, and Poe is much faster than you’d expect for a chonky, short legged dog. He has even earned himself the nickname “the speeding nugget” in our household. 

I’ve always been a lover of animals, especially dogs, and having Poe play an important role in my life helped drive my passion to help connect other pets in our community with their loving homes. I’m so thankful I get to be a part of an organization that helps grow and nurture the human-animal bond right here in our community. 

I’ve been involved with Animal Friends Alliance for almost two years now, the past year as Director of Development. I’ve had an amazing opportunity to witness so many amazing stories firsthand, of lives changed for both animals and the people who love them. I have a dedicated and passionate team who work hard to make a difference everyday!
