I have been a student at Thousand Waves for five years and am now a junior black belt. I have come to realize that this dojo is a great and supportive community.  My motivation to participate in the Spirit Challenge is that I know some families are not as lucky as I am and cannot afford to send their children to this amazing dojo.  I also know that the children who train in the ASK are disabled and are challenged both mentally and physically.  In my mind, the reason to raise funds is to allow kids less fortunate than I to have the same opportunities as I do.
