As many of you might know, Gioia began to take karate classes at Thousand Waves in the city almost a year ago. Since that time, her self-confidence & strength has improved. She is so interested in karate, it is inspiring to watch her in class. She loves to attend as well as watch other kids, especially the older kids. They have an Amazing kids program that draws kids from all over.
Thousand Waves is truly a school where children grow up together and become positive forces within their families and communities. They have been around for about 30 years and have always been a not-for-profit.
They are having a fundraiser so that they can offer financial aid to familes who would not be able to otherwise attend.
