For more than 100 years, athletics has been an important part of the SUNY Delhi experience. Student-athletes have represented the college in impression fashion both on and off the field.
Fall 2021 will forever be known as transformational time for SUNY Delhi Athletics. Starting this fall, SUNY Delhi becomes a full-fledged member of NCAA Division III Athletics. That means that our student-athletes and teams can now compete for regional and national NCAA Championships!
Fall also marks the launch of the Turf Field Fundraising Challenge! Delhi graduates from across the county are coming together to help bring an all new signature addition to SUNY Delhi’s Athletic facilities—a new turf field complex. The new turf field will become home to some of SUNY Delhi’s most competitive teams including Women’s Soccer, Men’s Soccer and Men’s Lacrosse.
In addition to a new athlete-friendly playing surface, the field brings modern amenities, including state-of-the-art lighting, multi-sport scoreboards, and an announcer/press box, all to enhance the spectator and fan experience. We are calling on all members of the SUNY Delhi community to raise funds to makes these essentials a reality.
The clock is ticking---and time is of the essence! Construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2022, with the new turf field ready to host NCAA competition in fall 2022. To make this happen we need you! Join SUNY Delhi alumni, parents, and friends to meet this challenge today!
