Making Strides for Special Kids 2022

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the Making Strides for Special Kids 5K Run/Walk!

Bill and I are once again participating in this event to raise funds for Special Education District of Lake County (SEDOL), a cooperative educational system working with school districts throughout the county to serve students who are facing physical, emotional, and other learning challenges. I was priviledged to be the Principal of one of the SEDOL schools. After retirement, I chose to remain active in the SEDOL Foundation because of the committment to meet the needs of some amazing students.

These funds will be used to directly enrich the educational, vocational, and social opportunities for children with disabilities in Lake County. I have seen firsthand how much SEDOL students and their families need our help and I know what a direct and meaningful impact we can provide. Taking care of the members of our community who are most in need is a responsibility that we all share and one that I am personally committed to.
