Seek the Peak 2025   ○   Fire on the Mountain

The third consecutive year of crawling up a mountain for charity.

Below is the pre-written "ask" in regards to this event, but I wanted to reach out with a personal message first:

THANK YOU.

Over the past two years, I have been fortunate enough to climb Mount Washington and raise money for the Observatory.  It's been a personal challenge and achievement each time.  The first year, I was exhausted and took the Cog back down.  Last year, I made it up and down, and was able to check it off my list of the 4000 Footers.  This year, I'm just doing it for fun.  But for all years, I've been happy to do it to help support the MWOBS.

I have to thank all the folks that I've hiked with in New Hampshire, many of whom I work with.  They are great friends and patient as hell.  You would have to be to help me get my butt up a mountain.

A major thank you to everyone who's supported me financially or otherwise over these past couple of years.  You've been able to help me reach goals for fundraising and vie for prizes.  This year, our team would still like to be #1, but even if not, it's still a great deal of fun.  The food afterwards doesn't hurt either.

Thank you to those who are reading this.  If you've gotten this far, that's awesome.  Even if you can support me and the team with $5, that's cool.  Every little bit helps us get ahead, and support the MWOBS.

And if you're thinking this sounds like something you'd like to attempt alongside us, hit me up.  :)

In July of 2025 I'll be participating in the 25th annual Seek the Peak, a hiking fundraiser in support of the legendary non-profit Mount Washington Observatory. Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution to support my endeavor.

Due to the generosity of supporters like you, the nonprofit Mount Washington Observatory has been observing and reporting on Mount Washington’s infamous conditions for 90+ years from their mountaintop weather station, maintaining one of North America's longest continuous climate records. The data they collect is utilized in forecasting models, weather reports, landmark climate research and educational outreach. The free daily forecasts that the Observatory provides are an essential resource for those wishing to enjoy the outdoors in New Hampshire's White Mountains and beyond.

Please join me in supporting this storied institution by making a donation towards my outdoor adventure. All gifts are fully tax-deductible and will help Mount Washington Observatory continue their important work in the Home of the World’s Worst Weather.

Thank you for your support!
