Seek the Peak is Mount Washington Observatory's largest annual fundraiser. During the past 25 years, thousands of hikers have taken to the trails on or around Mount Washington in mid-July during Seek the Peak weekend, showing their love of the Northeast’s highest peak and raising vital support for the Observatory. This peer-to-peer fundraiser fuels a significant portion of our non-profit's annual budget, supporting our work in mountain meteorology, climate, and education, and brings together hiking enthusiasts in an inspiring setting at the doorstep of the northern Presidential Range.
