Addie was diagnosed with PANDAS/PANS about 4 years ago. Since then she has taken Steroids, supplements, immune boosting drugs, a n a lot of antibiotics. A few weeks ago she had her tonsils removed. They were found to have had three different bacterias, including MRSA.
If it weren't for the wonderful women of SEPPA, we might still be wandering around in the desert, or even worse , on antipsychotic medications that could have made things worse. Because of SEPPA, I knew which specialist to see, and had information packets to hand to her school, and pediatrician.
This is part of what your donations go towards. The other part is to allow SEPPA board members to go to all if the AAP Conferences here in the Southeast, educating Drs on the most current information, treatments, a s peer reviewed research and studies about PANS and PANDAS. They also work tirelessly in legislation, to help our kids get timely affordable, and appropriate treatment that is so desperately needed.
I believe so strongly in SEPPA'S mission, that in January, I joined their Board of Directors, as the Family Support Chair.
Will you join me in supporting this awesome cause? Even if you can't join us in person, you can still walk virtually, or can just make a donation, however big or small.
Thank you in advance for your support! Even if you are unable to support financially, we do feel your love and prayers!
