Dear Family and Friends,

As you know our son, Alexander, received an autism diagnosis less than 2 years ago. To say we were lost is an understatement.  Thankfully we found our way to SHARE and they've graciously provided us with resources and a support system we didn't know we needed.  This year we are teaming up with SHARE- and you're invited to be a part of the team!  SHARE is passionate about providing families with relief, resources, and relationships when caring for a child with special needs.  They’re having their 12th annual SHARE Walk, and we are excited to be a part of it!

Parents focus on their child's necessities such as appointments, therapies, and being a solid foundation for their child when they’re having a particularly rough day.  Alexander alone has appointments 4 times a week and most times twice a day. It’s a 24/365 job that for many will be for the rest of their lives.  A great joy -- but also a challenge.

Similarly, siblings of children with special needs practice a great deal of patience, understanding, and sacrifice.  They love their sibling and to help in any way they can.  But it is difficult when you feel like you're on the side line.

Sometimes parents and siblings need a break!  They need some support and a friendly community. THAT's where SHARE comes in.  Your contribution to this team directly supports families with special needs.  Because of you, SHARE is able to provide family celebrations, support groups, counseling, Mom's/ Dad's Night Out, and much needed respite care.  (We recently had our first date night in 3 years thanks to SHARE!)
