As Thanksgiving and my birthday approach, I think about all the people in my life who have been by my side in the good times and the hard times. None of us can do it alone. 

During my 23 years at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana (BBSCI), I have learned the impact having a mentor in the life of a child can make, not only on that indivdiudal but on our community.

Right now, we have 1,000 youth eagerly waiting for mentors like our Bigs. That’s 1,000 lives ready to be changed, 1,000 opportunities to build connections that last a lifetime. These young people are full of potential, and they’re looking for someone who will believe in them, support them, and help guide them toward a brighter future. Our Bigs are stepping up—but we need even more people like them to meet this urgent need!
