Dear Family & Friends, 

As you know, I've worked at BBBSCI for almost 10 years, serving in multiple departments across the agency. During my time, my belief in the mission -  to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth - has only grown. I've seen the positive impact of these relationships on hundreds of youth, families, and volunteers in the Indianapolis community. In these days of increasing social isolation, creating personal connections with someone in your community is even more important. 

In July 2025, I also became a Big Sister to my Little Sister, Jalilah. Together, we love to participate in anything crafty - from making friendship bracelets, to painting pottery, to learning how to make journals at the Indianapolis Art Center. Jalilah is in 3rd grade and participates in theater, student council, and her school's step team. She also has several older siblings - all of whom are matched with Bigs of their own. When I first met her mom, she shared that they consider their Bigs to be family, and that's exactly how they've welcomed me. 

Right now, we have 1,000 youth eagerly waiting for mentors. That’s 1,000 lives ready to be changed, 1,000 opportunities to build connections that last a lifetime. These young people are full of potential, and they’re looking for someone who will believe in them, support them, and help guide them toward a brighter future. Together, we’re changing the game for young people—and we couldn’t do it without you.
