Evelyn is a sweet and spirited little girl who blessed our Sherman family just over three years ago. She is a courageous adventurer and joyous delight to all she meets with the most loving heart! Evelyn adores her siblings and parents (most of the time). In her leisure time you'll likely find Evelyn dancing to or playing music, wrestling her brother, mothering her sister, exploring the outdoors or enjoying her pets.

Evelyn also happens to have a third copy of the 21st chromosome commonly known as Down Syndrome, or Trisomy 21. With this diagnosis came many unknowns, but far more love than we could've ever imagined. We found ourselves very blessed to get involved with the Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin - Sheboygan & Surrounding Area. Through DSAW we've made many connections, been provided resources, attended events, and gained support with an incredible community.

Whether it's a friend, a family member, or neighbor down the street, we almost all know someone with Down syndrome or related disabilities.Like us, many of you have been personally touched by the lives of these individuals. We are proud to be part of the 11th Annual DSAW-Sheboygan Down Syndrome Awareness Walk because it means so much to us and to our family.

Due to the pandemic, this year's walk will look a little different. We can't wait for a months-long, virtual party celebrating our loved ones with Down syndrome and related disabilities! Now more than ever, your support of DSAW is crucial. DSAW had to close their offices and suspend in person programs and events for months -- we need YOU to help ensure DSAW's viability during this pandemic and beyond.
