For my tikkun olam service project for my bat mitzvah, I'm working with Erika's Lighthouse, a nonprofit organization based in Winnetka, Illinois, that raises awareness and provides free education to schools about mental health,  depression and suicide prevention. The organization was named for a local girl named Erika, who sadly lost her life after battling depression. I chose Erika's Lighthouse because I've experienced mental health challenges and I want to support an organization that is trying to help people through their struggles. Please consider a donation!
