Benjamin Gaines has been with the Gachassin firm and practicing law since 2011. He received his BS from Clemson University in Financial Management with a minor in Accounting in 2005. He then received his MBA, also from Clemson in 2007, then his Juris Doctor from Charleston School of Law in 2010. In 2022, Ben became a Board Certified Health Law Specialist with the Louisiana Board of Legal Specialization. His general practice involves healthcare transactions and regulatory matters. His areas of practice include purchase and sale of health care providers, representation of physician practices in corporate matters, counsel to all healthcare providers on federal and state regulatory issues, capital projects such as health care real estate developments, and reviews/negotiates employment agreements, independent contractor agreements, and general vendor relationships for healthcare providers. Ben is a member of the Louisiana Hospital Association, American Health Lawyers Association, and serves as Counsel for Better Business Bureau of Acadiana, Inc. In his downtime, Ben enjoys fishing, duck hunting, shooting sporting clays, golf, and fall Saturdays spent with friends and family watching college football. He and his family also enjoy the outdoors together by attending sporting events and traveling.
