WE NEED YOUR HELP.
There's a really good chance that you or someone you know has been helped by Second Harvest Food Bank or one of the hundreds of area churches, ministries, or food pantries they supply. But, right now, Second Harvest needs OUR help. Because of the Coronavirus, more families than ever are struggling to put food on the table. The good news? The Triad is filled with helpers, and if we all chip in a little we can make a HUGE difference for our hungry friends and neighbors.
About Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC:
Join us in #feedingcommunity as we work to ensure everyone has access to safe, nutritious food in the midst of COVID-19.
The coronavirus has closed schools and most community centers, creating a gap in meals for children. Seniors, people with chronic conditions, and those with compromised immune systems face higher risks in public spaces — forcing many to remain at home. Working families who can barely make ends meet now simply cannot absorb any added expenses for childcare and are the most likely to be affected should concerns over layoffs become reality.
The Second Harvest Food Bank network is ready to meet these evolving needs head-on, shifting our food sourcing and distribution to keep as much nutritious food flowing as possible across our 18-county service area. Please consider supporting our efforts. WE NEED YOU!
