Some words from Chameleon about Roller Derby

Hi, my name is Ace/Chameleon and I use he/they pronouns. 

This is my 5th year playing derby and it has been such a huge part of my life. I have made some great friends within the community. Derby has helped me through some of the darkest points of these past years and I could not be more grateful. The friends I have made here are friends that'll last a lifetime. I use derby as a way to channel my aggression (in a safe way obviously). Most of my life I felt kind of like an outsider because I didn’t think or act the same as all my friends and people I went to school with, but derby helped me realize that that was ok and it's good to be “different”.
