Why I Love Roller Derby

I love skating, and I'm really excited to be a Seattle Derby Brat on the Acid Pops...and when I say excited... I mean Really, Really Excited!

The coaches are the best!

Derby gives me a place where I feel like no one can tell me that what I'm doing is wrong. Once I was jamming and I fell on my teammate's skate and I had a huge bruise on my leg for like two weeks. It was Awesome!

- Roller Derby is a fun and empowering sport. When I am on the track, I feel strong and confident. I love skating with other girls who have become my teammates, friends and competitors. Roller Derby has changed the way I feel about myself and has taught me so many things about sportsmanship, competition and how to win, and loose with grace.

The donation you make today helps with things like track time for practices and bouts and on site medics for our bouts.

"Skate-A-Thon is Here!

Please join us for our biggest fundraising event of the year and make a generous donation to your favorite Derby Brat for this years Skate-A-Thon! Every year we host this fun fundraising event! Each skater will try and skate as many laps as they can in 45 minutes to raise money for our league. Each year skaters can earn fun prizes with each donation level reached and the team with the most donations wins a party as well!

Seattle Derby Brats empowers girls to be strong, healthy and confident. We do this through a supportive, inclusive community teaching junior roller derby.

Seattle Derby Brats has a philosophy that is designed to instill positive ideals, and help young girls realize their own potential.

Seattle Derby Brats is a volunteer run 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
