Roller Derby has changed my life. It is the only sport that I have played that I actually enjoy and that I actually look forward to doing. I have meet some really awesome people that I'm happy to call teammates and opponents. I have become more comfortable with myself and realized what I'm capable of. I can tell that my skill level has gotten much better from when I started (all thanks to the lovely coaches and skater coaches) and I have even been elected Captain for one of our bouts and got MVP Blocker for another, both accomplishments that I will cherish and am extremely thankful for. The confidence that roller derby has given me carries on to my normal life, and inspires me to be the best person that I can be. Because, afterall, that is what roller derby is about, lifting yourself and others up in a positive communtiy to empower girls and women alike to realize their true potential, all the while showing how strong and talented each one of them are. Thats what the Seattle Derby Brats has done for me and many, many other skaters. 

Donations will help with things like track time for practices and bouts, fun events we get to go to like the Halloween party and all night skate. It also pays for team jersys and on site medics for our bouts.
