My name is Alexis, and I’m a cook at Light of Life Rescue Mission in Pittsburgh. Every day, I serve hot meals to people facing hunger, homelessness, and unimaginable hardship—but what we serve is more than just food.
Each plate carries a message:
“You are seen. You are worthy. You are not alone.”
This mission is deeply personal to me. Working in the kitchen, I’ve seen how something as small as a warm meal can become the first step toward healing and hope. I’ve watched people walk through our doors broken—and walk out restored, supported by a community that truly cares.
That’s why I’ve committed to jump out of a plane at SOAR 2025.
