I have had Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) since a fall in January 2013. It has resulted in pain throughout my body, problems with my internal organs (heart, stomach, etc.), and a loss of my career. My days are filled with doctor appointments, physical therapy, and lots and lots of medications. These medications often cause sleep disturbances, migraines, nausea, etc. I am fortunate to have a great treatment team and a wonderful support system of family and friends and I am very grateful for both!
I recently discovered these lyrics from Tupac Shakur that I found meaningful,
"Did you hear about the rose that grew from a crack in the concrete?
Provin' natures laws wrong
It learned how to walk without havin' feet
Funny it seems, but by keepin' its dreams
It learned to breathe fresh air
Long live the rose that grew from concrete"
Thank you for reading my page and for your support! ?
