Jen's Grand Finale Plunge!
Jen's GRAND FINALE Polar Plunge!
Please join me in celebrating TWENTY YEARS OF PLUNGING
2020 marks the 20th anniversary of the Chicago Polar Plunge!
The 2020 Chicago Polar Plunge takes place on Sunday, March 1st. And like every year (for the last 20 years), myself and thousands of brave souls take the challenge and jump in Lake Michigan to raise funds for Special Olympics in Chicago.
This event holds a special place in my heart. I've participated each year, for all of the 20 years, and I'm going out with a bang and planning to raise $50,000 *not a typo*.
While I will still support and serve on the board of this great charity, this is my last official plunge! I'm setting the bar higso an early start is definitely needed.
Why do I plunge? I promise to support the 7,500+ special olympians who compete year-round in the city of Chicago. All funds raised benefit our athletes covering program costs such as transportation, sports equipment, team uniforms and food. BECAUSE OF YOUR GENEROSITY, people with intellectual disabilities have the opportunity to discover new strengths, abilities and successes.
Plain and simple. Special Olympics alters lives. It promotes kindness and inclusion. And most of all, it gives people the opportunity to grow and develop and experience life as we all do. It doesn't get much better than that!
Thank you in advance for your generosity and support. See you Sunday, March 1, 2020!
