I’m a native of Lynchburg and have owned a spa in the city for 15years. I have 2 wonderful daughters, a bonus daughter and son and 2 precious granddaughters.
I have seen too many of my friends and family diagnosed with breast cancer and want to do my part in bringing awareness and raising funds for this worthy cause.
The Sole Stars campaign engages leaders in our communities as representatives in the fight against breast cancer. During the month-long campaign, each Sole Star will raise or give a minimum of $1,000, which will be used to support the work of the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation (VBCF.) 100% of funds raised remain in Virginia to help Virginians and to fund our local breast cancer initiatives.
Sole (noun): the undersurface of a shoe; the sole is meant to provide footwear with the necessary support, giving traction and protection from the surfaces it will be in contact with.
Star (noun): a celebrated, prominent or distinguished person; synonym: VIP · (very) important person.
VBCF Sole Star (noun): a very important person providing support for our mission to eradicate breast cancer by raising awareness and funds in their community and providing traction for our mission; willing to have fun while wearing awesome pink shoes!
