Why We are Participating:

Kat [she, her] is an experienced consultant and business advisor with a demonstrated history in operations management. She has worked in banking and manufacturing, managed multiple small businesses, and served non-profits as well. Her skillset includes coaching, sales, team building, and business development. Kat started Spotless America in 2011 and has co-owned Farmburguesa Restaurants since their inception in 2018. She also founded Latinas Network, a regional non-profit for Latina professionals, in 2020. She serves on several boards, including Local Colors, Casa Latina, the Vinton Chamber of Commerce, the Grandin Village Business Association, and the 110 Society by the Taubman Museum. Kat has continued her education at Virginia Western Community College and earned a certificate in Women's Entrepreneurship from Cornell University.

Jimmy [he, him] is an experienced entrepreneur and business owner with a demonstrated history in business operations. He has worked in banking and restaurants. His skillset includes team building, and business development. Jimmy started Spotless America in 2011 and has co-owned Farmburguesa Restaurants since inception in 2018. Jimmy attended Patrick Henry High School in Roanoke, VA and furthered his education at North Carolina State University.

Kat and Jimmy are proud parents to two sons: Julian and Jacob, and three playful pups: Jax, Jackie, and Skye.

One of Kat and Jimmy's former bosses and mentors was a survivor of breast cancer. She sparked their interest in breast cancer awareness and soon after in 2016, Kat attended her first walkathon and learned more about breast cancer. Through conversations, formal fundraising and many connections afterwards, we've learned how many people we encounter daily that have been directly or indirectly affected by a positive diagnosis of breast cancer.
