For my 6th grade English teacher who read aloud to us and introduced what would become my favorite book and shape so much of my interests as a young person.

For my high school orchestra teacher whose high standards were equal to her care for us as individuals to play as a cohesive unit -- playing Vaughan Williams "Fantasia" and make the judges cry is a core memory of the power of music.

For my Government teacher who would turn into my mentor and colleague, whose love of the Constitution was only matched by her ability to challenge students to reach new heights.

For my daughter's third grade teacher who taught her to love math and my son's kindergarten teacher who loved him so hard that he was excited to go to school every.single.day.

It's for these and so many other reasons that I do this work with Save Our Schools Arizona.

Knocking doors, texting, making calls, printing literature and overall connecting with voters is what Save Our Schools Arizona does all day, everyday. Our work is grassroots organizing at its core which is why SOSAZ continues to experience so much success. But these things don't come free. And as we all know, this election cycle there is simply so much on the line.
