We are so proud of the progress Bailey continues to make due to the hard work of all the teachers, professionals, and staff at Academy 360 (a program of Spectrum 360).  The positive and encouraging environment has helped Bailey’s confidence tremendously and we are happy to report that Bailey continues to try new things and grow in unexpected ways.  This past fall Bailey joined a beginner’s gymnastics class at the YMCA and is now able to manage the balance beam, a forward roll, and last week did a forward flip over the bar. In addition, he continues to be involved with his weekend sports group with soccer, basketball and tball.  Thanks to the dedication of his gym teacher at Academy360, he has now mastered skills that allow him to participate fully in all of these activities. Another tremendous area of growth for Bailey has been doing art independently. Bailey is now able to request his needed art supplies and complete very creative projects.  His focus and attention continues to improve as does his language. Bailey also continues to be very interested in music and theater. Bailey enjoyed his first Broadway show Aladdin and of course still enjoys his annual Wiggles concert. He continues to seek his big brother Colin’s company and they frequently listen to Elvis Presley together.

I want to thank all of our family and friends who donated so generously to the Walk for a Lifetime last year.  It means so much to us to know we are not alone. Academy360 has truly changed Bailey's life. It has given him a place to grow and learn.  He is enjoying his life and no longer fearful of the world around him. He has teachers and staff who understand and love him. He has a place that offers him art, gym, and music and that is constantly developing new ways and programs to reach these children.

A Note From Bailey’s Brother Colin

Thank God for Academy 360!  It is a wonderful school for Bailey.  He has made so much progress here and the staff has helped him in so many ways.  I enjoy reading books with him and asking him questions about his books. Thank you for donating to Academy 360 and ensuring that Bailey always has a place that he can learn and grow.
