Community Action's Promise During COVID-19

Community Action is fulfilling our mission during COVID-19

Our promise to you during COVID-19 is that we will continue to serve our most vulnerable community members. We’ve made many changes to keep clients, staff and community safe. We are providing services, but all in-person services have been suspended at all locations until further notice. Our East County Resource Center is remaining open with limited walk-up services. We have added remote services options. There are many new services available for the first time to people of low-to-moderate income.

Community Action helps one in five Skagit County residents.

40% of the individuals we serve are children.

Our Food Distribution Center is now supplying 85% of the food found in local food banks and distributing 650,000 pounds of food each month.

Our Housing team placed over 60 community members in motels during COVID-19.

Our Senior and Disabled team serves over 3,000 isolated and homebound seniors.

There has been an increase over 20% of services needed.

We are asking for your support now to help us meet those needs and to continue to serve our community.
