On Saturday, October 3, 2026, the Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana Foundation will welcome community leaders, corporate partners, philanthropists, athletes, and supporters to the Spirit of Sport Sneaker Gala at Riverview Health Arena—an inspiring evening celebrating the life-changing impact of adaptive sports while raising critical funds for the RHI Sports Program. Guests will enjoy cocktails, a gourmet dinner, exciting auctions, bourbon and jewelry pulls, raffle opportunities, along with keynote speaker Lonnie Bedwell, a blind U.S. Navy veteran and world-renowned adventurer whose remarkable journey exemplifies resilience and determination. The RHI Sports Program is funded entirely through philanthropy, and every dollar raised provides year-round opportunities for children, adults, veterans, and individuals with physical disabilities to participate in adaptive sports such as wheelchair basketball, sled hockey, power soccer, wheelchair tennis, beep baseball, waterskiing, boxing, yoga, and more. Together, we are ensuring that every athlete has the opportunity to compete, belong, and thrive while experiencing the confidence, independence, camaraderie, and joy that sports make possible.
