Hello and Happy Sportable Tailgate szn! What's a Sportable Tailgate you ask? It's only this awesome nonprofit's biggest fundraiser of the year and we need your support to reach our $25,000 goal! 

Last September, I went to my first wheelchair basketball practice as a volunteer and met athletes, coaches, and other volunteers from all over central Virginia who came that Saturday morning to pass, shoot, and dribble together. Since then, I've formed lifelong relationships (lucky me) with the growing Sportable community. We continue to show up on and off the court for each other. Recently, one of our athletes made her way out to Wisconsin to play for the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater wheelchair basketball team (Shoutout to Hannah!)!

Wheelchair basketball is just one of MANY programs that Sportable offers year-round. Athletes come to every practice with a mission to better themselves physically and mentally, and along the way create lifelong friendships.
