Are we able to see the items in person before bidding?
Yes! People will have the opportunity to stop by and see all the auction items in person! We are going to host two Open Houses at the Gateway Administration Offices for the community to see all the items in person and see the HRM facility.

How do the funds raised impact Holland Rescue Mission?
This fundraising event enables Holland Rescue Mission to continue with its life-changing programs. Your generous gifts help provide meals, clothing, and a safe shelter for our residents. Funds also impact our long-term recovery program, known as the Gateway Program, in which students can participate in addition recovery classes, earn their GED, and receive quality work training and job preparedness.
How does line bidding work?
Line bidding is best described as a raffle. Rather than bidding on an item, you purchase a "raffle ticket" for that item. Each package will have an unlimited number of bidding slots. You may purchase as many of those slots as you would like, just remember that you are paying for that slot whether you win the item or not. Most bidding slots range from $15 to $100.
What is the Gift Card Wall?
We have 100 gift cards available! For $35, you buy a gift card and win a gift card ranging anywhere from $10 to $100!
Where are the gift cards to? Amazon, local shops, restaurants, Target, Meijer, DoorDash, hardware stores, etc!
For the gift card wall, with the $35 purchase, you are guaranteed to receive a gift card.
What is "What's in your Wallet?"
“What’s in your Wallet?” – This is a new feature at HRM's Spring Garden Auction!
We have 31 purses available to buy. In each bag is one item: it could be a Coach or Kate Spade wallet, $100 Visa Gift Card or $10 Restaurant Gift Card, or another mystery item!
How do you get a bag?
1) Buy a bag during the virtual auction on May 4-5 (while supplies last. Cost $30 per bag - which goes to support HRM’s daily operations).
2) Pick a number 1-31 when picking up your items.
3) See what bag and item you win!
Where can I find the auction items using the Givi App?
All auction items will be available to view under the Buy tab at the top, not under Bid.
Do I have to use the app (Givi) to bid?
No, while it is convenient to use the app, it is not required! You can also use a desktop or laptop computer.
I've registered for the event, now how do I bid on items?
All bidding will take place at https://secure.qgiv.com/event/springgardenauction2021. Once you've registered, a unique code will be emailed to you. Use that code to make a login using the auction website or the Givi app. You will need to be logged in (using the login you make with that code) to bid on or buy any items.

Is the money I spent at the auction tax-deductible?
In accordance with IRS guidelines, the money spent on the registration fee, bidding (whether you win the package or not), and on purchasing an item, those funds are not tax-deductible. But, any money donated (general donation, Fund-a-Need, and Gift-Assist) is tax-deductible.
When will the auction package winners be announced?
Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 2pm
All the winners will be announced on our website and Facebook page. We will also email the winners directly after 2pm.
When/where can I pick up my auction item and/or Swag Bag?
Friday, May 7, 2021 from 9am-1pm
Monday, May 10, 2021 from 9am-7pm
Tuesday, May 11, 2021 from 9am-5pm

Items not picked up during one of these pick-up times will be auctioned off at the 2022 Spring Garden Auction. We are willing to ship the packages, at the owner's expense. Shipping arrangements must be made before May 11 at 5pm.
